Call for Submissions for PhD Workshop hosted by PERICLES

University of Bern, Switzerland becomes newest international member of the Digital Preservation Coalition.

This month the Digital Preservation Coalition is delighted to welcome the University of Bern, Switzerland as its newest associate member. The University Library of Bern currently provides books and journals in print and electronic format as well as access to subject-specific databases. The team at Bern also aims to open its archive to the university community, incorporating access to more complex objects and formats in the digital editions it holds.

DRI publishes guidelines for ISAD(G) and Encoded Archival Description

The DRI is very pleased to launch its newest set of guidelines EAD, ISAD(G) and the Digital Repository of Ireland. These are the latest in a series of metadata guidelines which currently includes Dublin Core, Qualified Dublin Core and MODS. The guidelines aim to provide accessible, straightforward instructions on creating metadata which is compatible with the DRI, as well as conforming to the relevant metadata standards.

DPC Offers Scholarships to Members for DPTP Training Courses

The Digital Preservation Coalition is pleased to offer four scholarships to its members to attend upcoming DPTP training courses from the DART team at ULCC. Two scholarships are offered to attend the DPTP: Digitisation course on 27th September 2016 and two to attend the DPTP: Web Archiving 101 course on 17th October 2016, both to be held at Senate House, University of London, London.
