Open Archaeology Journal – New Paper

In between jetting off to Sweden, New Zealand and the USA (hope to get permissions to write a post about what I was up to soon…) over the past month or two I published a paper in the De Gruyter Open Archaeology journal. The journal is open access which is great because it’s peer reviewed and freely available to everyone online which I think is really important for academic work.

You can download and read my paper, entitled “Beyond Digital Dwelling: Re-thinking Interpretive Visualisation in Archaeology” on the journal website by clicking the “full PDF” link.

It was written as part of the “Challenging Digital Archaeology” issue which aimed to pose ‘grand challenges’ for the field going forward. In the editors’ own words these challenges “seek to generate genuinely novel approaches and methodologies in digital archaeology and which represent radical paradigm shifts for the wider discipline and potentially beyond”….so as can be expected it’s full of sass!

Hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think!
